Bespoke Wedding Ceremony

This ceremony is fully personalised for you both and includes the following:

Meetings and unlimited emails and phone calls
A ceremony which is especially personalised to you both and themed to your likes
Assistance with writing of your vows if required.
Unlimited number of guests
Rehearsal at the venue (mileage rates apply)
Travel costs within 20 kms of my home included (over 20 km, government rates per km apply)
If outside Auckland a special rate would be discussed

Stylised Wedding Ceremony

If you want to include some of your personality into the ceremony but not have a fully bespoke wedding a stylised wedding package is the one for you.

This includes:

A set script and your own vows
Assistance with writing of vows, if required
Meeting and unlimited emails and phone calls
Unlimited number of guests
No rehearsal at the venue
Travel costs within 20 km of my home included (over 20 kms government rates per km apply)
If outside Auckland a special rate would be discussed.

Registry-style Wedding

For the budget conscious couple there is the option of a registry wedding.

This is a very simple and quick ceremony offering a choice of two vows with nothing personalised.

Instead of having to head down to the local Courthouse or Council, you can now get married in a registry wedding right at home!

There are strict conditions in accordance with the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) - please refer to the link below.

From 1 July 2019, BDM stopped performing registry weddings. Instead, registry weddings are now officiated by independent celebrants who have achieved VCANZ accreditation.

I am licensed to officiate a registry wedding.

Music, links and legalities

SOUND SYSTEM

Whether you are on the beach, backyard or wedding venue, I have a sound system available, with microphones, to ensure all your guests can hear your ceremony.

Ideal to play your entrance music, use during your ceremony, music whilst you are signing your marriage certificate and for your exit music - the use of the sound system is included as part of your celebrant fee.

LEGALITIES

You will be required to apply for a Marriage Licence, through Births, Deaths and Marriage http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.nsf/wpg_URL/Services-Births-Deaths-and-Marriages-How-to-Get-a-Marriage-Licence

Your licence is valid for three months from the date of the licence and a Registered Marriage Celebrant is required to carry out the marriage.

In the 21st century a lot has changed with marriage ceremonies except at some point you are required to say “I AB take you CD” to be my husband/wife – or words to that effect, using the full names of the couple.

The rest of the ceremony can be personalised to suit the couple. Two witnesses are needed – witnesses do not need to be one of the bridal party, they can be anyone that you nominate.

The marriage licence is signed by the bridal couple, the two witnesses and the Celebrant. All very straight forward and I am able to assist with any questions.
